Can you work with the national laboratories?+
No, for anything classified or export-controlled, which is the majority of what they do. That requires clearances and US person status. Unclassified commercial spin-outs and contractor business systems are a different matter, but the determination has to come first rather than emerging during procurement.
What about space or aerospace commercial work?+
Only where ITAR and EAR do not apply, and in this sector they frequently do. Business systems, customer platforms and data infrastructure for a commercial space company can be feasible; anything touching launch vehicle or payload technical data is not. Have your export control adviser make that call before we scope.
What can you realistically offer here?+
Commercial software for businesses outside the laboratory and defense economy: commerce, operations, data platforms and applied AI. That is a smaller slice of New Mexico than it would be elsewhere, and we would rather say so than pitch as if the whole market were open to us.
