What “Founder-friendly Devshop” means for Michigan
Michigan is the centre of the American automotive industry and its transition toward electrification and automated driving. Ann Arbor adds a research university and a genuine autonomy testing ecosystem, which makes the state’s engineering culture more systems-oriented than most.
What shapes software projects in Michigan
The local conditions we design around, rather than a generic pitch.
- Automotive manufacturing and its supplier network dominate, now reshaped by electrification and driver assistance programmes.
- The University of Michigan and the connected and automated vehicle testing facilities around Ann Arbor anchor a real autonomy research community.
- Automotive suppliers operate under demanding quality and traceability regimes that shape their software requirements.
- Costs are moderate and the engineering workforce is large, though weighted toward mechanical and electrical rather than software.
Why teams in Michigan pick Kiebot
- Senior architect on day one, no junior-only pods
- Fixed-cost MVP option, weekly working demos
- Documented handover so the codebase is never a black box
- You own the IP, fully, from commit one
How an engagement with Michigan actually runs
Time zones, working weeks and who you sign with. Kiebot has people in India and the UAE; work for other markets is delivered from India.
- Michigan is mostly Eastern Time, UTC-5, UTC-4 in daylight saving, so India is 9.5 to 10.5 hours ahead. A few western counties are on Central.
- An overlap shift covers your morning.
- Contracting from India or through Kiecore Technologies LLC in Dubai. No US entity.

Named, public engagements. We would rather show you a relevant project than claim a local client we do not have.
- Torcap: a production ERP with inventory, pricing and compliance, closest to supplier operational systems.
- BILRS: reliability engineering with contract testing across every integration and SLO-led on-call.
Frequently asked questions
Can you do automotive embedded or safety-critical work?+
No. Functional safety work under ISO 26262 and automotive embedded development are specialised disciplines with their own toolchains and certification processes, and we have no track record in either. Claiming otherwise in Detroit would not survive the first technical conversation. Enterprise and supplier-facing software, quality data, logistics, portals and integration, is where we fit.
Our quality requirements are strict. Does that suit how you work?+
It suits us better than a fast-and-loose engagement would. Automotive supplier quality regimes demand traceability and evidence, which maps onto how we build: contract testing, documented decisions and reproducible releases. The practical consequence is that quality has to be budgeted as continuous work rather than a phase before launch.
How does the time difference work for manufacturing operations?+
Reasonably well. Your morning is our evening, and our day covers your overnight production and batch windows, so problems are often found and fixed before your first shift. For anything needing live decisions during your production day, the window is your morning and we plan around it.
