Not automatically. The revised FADP is similar in shape to GDPR but differs in specifics, and treating them as interchangeable is a frequent mistake. We build the technical controls, data classification, minimisation, masking, encryption and audit logging, so your counsel has something concrete to assess against the Swiss requirements rather than an assumption of equivalence.

We are FINMA-regulated. What does outsourcing to you involve?+

More paperwork than the engineering itself, initially. FINMA outsourcing rules typically require you to retain oversight, secure audit rights, know and approve subprocessors, and have a workable exit plan. We can meet those, but they should be agreed before scope, because they sometimes change the architecture. We are not a Swiss entity and cannot host in Switzerland ourselves, so if in-country residency is mandatory that needs a Swiss hosting partner.

Can our data stay in Switzerland?+

The data can, if you host it there. Our engineers, who are in India, would still need controlled access to build and support the system, and that access is the part your assessment has to address. We handle it with least-privilege access, no local copies of production data, masked datasets for development and full access logging. We will not claim data never leaves Switzerland when engineers outside it need to debug.
